Corn Vada

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh sweet corn
  • 1 cup Quinoa powder
  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 10 green chilies minced
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • ½ bunch cilantro minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cups oil to fry

Directions

  • Grind corn kernels coarse.
  • In a bowl mix rice flour, quinoa powder and coarse corn kernels.
  • Add onion, chilies, cumin seeds, cilantro and salt.
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Add water to make a tight dough.
  • Make lemon size balls, flatten the balls ¼ inch thick on a non-stick surface/palm.
  • Heat non-stick pan on medium heat for 1 minute.
  • Add oil to fry the patties.
  • Drop the patties in the oil to fry until golden brown.
  • Serve warm with chutney.
