Veggie Puff Pastries

Ingredients

  • 1 box puff pastry sheets (partridge farm)
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 1 bunch cilantro minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 medium potatoes (boil until cooked)
  • ¼ cup diced carrots (cook)
  • ¼ cup Peas (cook)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon chat masala
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/8  teaspoon turmeric powder

Directions

Step 1 – Prepare the stuffing

  • Heat oil in medium heat in a skillet.
  • Add Minced onion until golden brown.
  • Add potatoes, carrots, and peas to the skillet.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Mix well for 3 minutes.
  • Add all the spices and cilantro.
  • Set it aside to cool to room temperature.

Step 2 – Complete the puff

  • Thaw the Puff pastry sheet to room temperature; approximately 30 minutes.
  • There are 2 sheets in a box.
  • Cut each sheet into half.
  • Cut each half into three equal sizes.
  • Place 1 tablespoon of the stuffing in the center.
  • Fold the pastry sheet to make a rectangle.
  • Gently press the sides to seal the dough.
  • Complete all the dough and place them on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake in a pre-heated over of 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10/15 minutes or until golden brown – let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Serve this with mint chutney.
