Ingredients
- ½ cup channa dal
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons grated coconut
- Pinch of cardamom powder
- ½ cup urad dal
- ¾ cup rice flour
- Pinch of salt
- Oil to deep fry
Directions
- Cook channa dal.
- In a pot dissolve brown sugar in the water on a low flame.
- Keep stirring, when it thickens add coconut and cardamom.
- Let it cool and make equal size balls.
Covering
- Soak urad dal and blend it
- Add rice flour and salt.
- In a fryer, add oil and let heat on low heat.
- Dip the channa dal mixture in the urad dal and deep fry.
- Repeat this process until all channa dal balls are deep fried in the urad dal mixture.
