Garlic
Garlic is an herb that is related to onion, leeks and chives. It is low in calories and has medicinal value. Garlic produces a chemical called allicin, which seems to work for certain conditions.

Garlic may help in the following:
- It reduces high blood pressure and cholesterol. Eat 6 to 7 raw pods a day first thing in the morning.
- Reduce pre-meal blood sugar levels in people with or without diabetes.
- Prevents sore throats. Crush four cloves of garlic and four spoon juice of holy basil.
- Garlic oil mixed with coconut oil or mustard oil helps pain due to arthritis, swelling. By massaging gently on the affected area helps.
