Adai Dosa

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Urid Dal
  • ½ cup Moong Dal
  • ½ cup Toor Dal
  • ½ cup Rice
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2” minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 bunch coriander leaves
  • Optional – ¼ cup each of
  • green beans, carrots, peas

Directions

Prepare Dough

  • Soak rice and dal together in a bowl for 3 hours.
  • Grind mixture coarsely with salt.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients  to the batter.

Prepare the Adai

  • Heat the griddle until hot.
  • Pour a ladle full of batter on the griddle and spread it thin.
  • Pour ½ teaspoon full of oil around the Adai.
  • Cover with a lid for 3 minutes.
  • Open the lid and let the Adai get crisp for 2 more minutes.
  • Turn it over and let it cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Ready to serve.
