Apple Halwa

Ingredients

  • 2 apples, peeled & grated
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp powdered cardamom
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of saffron in a tsp of milk
  • 1 tbsp cashews
  • 1 tsp raisins

Directions

  • Take the grated apples in a microwaveable bowl
  • Add the ghee, sugar, almond flour, salt and the saffron nicely mixed in milk
  • Mix all the ingredients well
  • Microwave at high setting for 5 minute
  • Once done take the bowl out and stir and mix the contents
  • Next microwave again for another 5 minutes
  • The mixture will now have a halwa consistency
  • At this time add the powdered cardamom
  • Heat 1 tsp ghee and roast the cashews and raisins and add to the halwa and mix
  • The apple mixture can be heated in the microwave for a few more minutes if the right consistency is not achieved.
