Broccoli And Aloo Poriyal

Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets 
  • 1 large potatoes, cubed 
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder 
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds 
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder 
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder 
  • 3 tablespoons ghee or oil 
  • 2 tablespoons minced cilantro 

Directions

  • In a saucepan, heat ghee or oil, add cumin seeds and let it split. 
  • Add potatoes and a little salt, roast until half cooked, add broccoli, little salt  and roast until ¾ done.  Cover the pan, do not add water.   
  • Sprinkle turmeric, chile, cumin and coriander powder over the top and mix it well.  Let it cook for 5 minutes.  
  • Garnish with cilantro.
