Ingredients

  • 1 20 oz bag of golden figs (soft figs) 
  • 2 Kolhapuri Modak jaggery 
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon 
  • ½ teaspoon salt 
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder (optional) 
  • 2 cups water 

Directions

  • Cut up the fits into quarters. 
  • In a sauce pan combine all the ingredients and boil. 
  • Let it thicken, keep stirring until all the bubbles are gone and it starts to leave the sides of the pan. 
  • Bottle it in a tight container and refrigerate it.
