Tindora/Thondekai Gojju

Ingredients

  • 250 grams frozen cut Tindora
  • 2 tbsps. Dhalia/Roasted gram
  • 5 Byadgi Chilies
  • 1/4th tsp Mustard
  • 4 tbsps. grated fresh Coconut
  • 3 tbsps. Tamarind Juice
  • 2tsps Jaggery
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 5 Curry Leaves
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Directions

  • Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a pan. Add Mustard and Asafetida, 5 curry leaves and when it splatters, add Tindora
  • Roast Tindora till cooked
  • Add Salt, Tamarind Juice and Jaggery and let it cook in this
  • Grind Dhalia/Roasted Gram, Mustard, Byadgi Red Chilies, Grated Coconut into a paste
  • Add the ground masala to the cooked Tindora
  • Boil for 5 to 7 minutes
