Flax Seed Chutney Pudi

Ingredients

  • 6 Ounce Organic Flax Seeds
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Urid Dal
  • 1 tablespoon Channa Dal
  • ¼ cup Desiccated Coconut
  • 12 – 14 Red Chillies
  • 1 tablespoon Tamarind Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric
  • Salt to Taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Hing
  • 1 bunch Curry Leaves

Directions

  • Dry roast above ingredients separately until dals turn golden brown. You can roast the chillies with the dals.
  • Warm the coconut (it does not have to be roasted).
  • Dry roast flax seeds until they splatter.
  • Roast curry leaves until they become dry.
  • Grind each ingredient separately.
  • Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add salt and brown sugar. Mix well.
  • Put all ingredients in a food processor. Pules it until it is well blended.
  • Store in an air-tight container.
