Mint Chutney

Ingredients

  • Mint leaves 2 cups
  • Urad dal 1 ½ tbsp
  • Chana dal 2 tbsp
  • Ginger 1 ½ tbsp
  • Tamarind paste ½ tbsp
  • Green chillies 2
  • Red chilly 1
  • Asafoetida ¼ tsp
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Salt as needed

Directions

  • Take oil in a pan and heat.
  • Add the urad dal and chana dal and fry till golden brown.
  • Next add the red chilly, green chillies and asafoetida.
  • Add the ginger, and the chopped mint leaves.
  • Add all the ingredients to the blender and grind with the tamarind and a little water and salt to a coarse mixture.
